What is a local or small business on MarMo
A small or local business is any business with a permit to sell to retailers (such as the Cottage Law Class C permit) or a brick and mortar business that already exists and is actively selling to customers under a relevant business permit.
Do I need to provide proof of a permit or license to sell on MarMo
You may need a license or business license no matter what type of operation you have. Typically, yes, your local or federal government will require you to have some sort of license to operate. Additionally, some customers may not trust your products until you show proof of your license or permit. For this reason, we recommend posting your permit on your store page (similar to how you’d see a certificate of health hanging in a restaurant) to build buyers trust.
In general MarMo is a community of trust, and we will always stand by our sellers and customers, so please always provide accurate representations of your business and your self.
Where do I display my business license or information on MarMo
Once approved to be a vendor on MarMo, you should put your license information on your “Store Settings” page under your “Seller Dashboard.” This will then be visible for all of MarMo’s customers.
How do I offer Wholesale prices
Once you determine you are eligible for Wholesale, if you go into edit one of your products, you will see each of your products has a “Wholesale Price” field on the pricing editing bar. This price is visible only to our Wholesale customers. These customers have to apply separately and agree to meeting product quantity minimums in order to be eligible to see these prices. By them becoming Wholesale customers, they will no longer be able to purchase regularly priced items, so we encourage them to use a business email.
What types of businesses can I sell to through Wholesale
MarMo will offer Wholesale to any retailer that is willing to meet the product minimum, and who orders within the vendors delivery area. To set your delivery area, be sure to set your Product Attributes for your Delivery State and County.
How do I ensure vendors meet my product minimum for Wholesale
We recommend putting your Wholesale minimum requirements in the long description of your Product Description. If they do not meet your minimum, you should contact the customer to confirm if they wish to increase the purchase or contact us, and we will help coordinate additional sales to meet your minimum. If no minimum is met, the order can be cancelled
